# Domain Context Modeling Docs

Use this index to find the smallest public artifact that fits the work. The
whole framework is in active development. Start with the current recommendation,
then load Labs, examples, or evidence when they help.

HTML links open the human-readable view. Markdown links open the durable source
used by people and agents.

Publication and maturity are separate. Public artifacts may be early
hypotheses. Their status tells you whether they are a current recommendation,
a Lab ready to test, evidence from use, or a stable pattern.

## Current Framework

- **Project overview** — purpose, positioning, ways to work, maturity model, and the adoption ladder. [Readable view](project-readme.html) · [Markdown](../README.md?source=1)
- **Domain Context Brief v0** — the best currently recommended Core and Extended Brief plus starting paths. [Readable view](domain-context-brief-v0.html) · [Markdown](domain-context-brief-v0.md?source=1)
- **Story Mode** — use a concrete situation to reveal actors, stakes, rules, sources, states, and outcomes. [Readable view](story-mode.html) · [Markdown](story-mode.md?source=1)
- **Influences and Credit** — positioning relative to adjacent disciplines and prior work. [Readable view](influences-and-credit.html) · [Markdown](influences-and-credit.md?source=1)

## Labs

These promising, public working hypotheses are ready for real use and
critique. They are optional rather than withheld; their evidence determines
whether they later become recommended defaults, change, or retire.

- **Experimental Context Brief** — explore project, customer, delivery, and evidence context before the product domain is stable. [Readable view](experimental-context-brief.html) · [Markdown](experimental-context-brief.md?source=1)
- **Experimental Domain Modeling Grammar** — distinguish domain areas, meaning contexts, concepts, slices, and representations. [Readable view](experimental-domain-modeling-grammar.html) · [Markdown](experimental-domain-modeling-grammar.md?source=1)
- **Living Domain Model** — test how a brief can become a maintained meaning layer with provenance, anchors, authority tiers, a declined ledger, and an update covenant. [Readable view](experimental-living-domain-model.html) · [Markdown](experimental-living-domain-model.md?source=1)

## Worked Examples

- **Home renovation permits** — regulated, multi-source, agent-assisted product context. [Readable view](examples/home-renovation-permits.html) · [Markdown](examples/home-renovation-permits.md?source=1)
- **Neighborhood tool library** — manual, community-centered application of the framework. [Readable view](examples/neighborhood-tool-library.html) · [Markdown](examples/neighborhood-tool-library.md?source=1)
- **Podcast production** — collaborative creative workflow with roles, states, and source material. [Readable view](examples/podcast-production.html) · [Markdown](examples/podcast-production.md?source=1)
- **Home renovation living-model simulation** — a structured YAML experiment for evidence, applicability, freshness, and bounded slices. [YAML source](examples/home-renovation-living-domain-context-model.yaml)
- **Riverbend permitting linked-model experiment** — a browsable Markdown bundle testing portable concepts, rules, sources, project context, and slices. [Open the bundle](examples/riverbend-permitting-okf/index.md?source=1)

## Evidence And Evaluation

- **Evaluation Kit** — manual, AI-assisted, and agent-integrated comparison lanes. [Readable view](eval-kit.html) · [Markdown](eval-kit.md?source=1)
- **Stakeholder Review Artifacts** — guidance for human-readable decision surfaces derived from durable context. [Readable view](stakeholder-review-artifacts.html) · [Markdown](stakeholder-review-artifacts.md?source=1)
- **Home renovation prototype evaluation** — [Markdown](evaluations/prototype-eval-home-renovation.md?source=1)
- **Podcast production prototype evaluation** — [Markdown](evaluations/prototype-eval-podcast-production.md?source=1)
- **Translated-context prototype evaluation** — [Markdown](evaluations/prototype-eval-translated-domain-context.md?source=1)
- **Brief-to-living-model simulation** — [Markdown](evaluations/brief-to-living-domain-model-simulation.md?source=1)
- **Open Knowledge Format experiment** — [Markdown](evaluations/okf-living-domain-model-experiment.md?source=1)

## Supporting Material

- **Future Ecosystem Notes** — explicitly exploratory relationships to agent workflows and execution systems. [Readable view](future-ecosystem-notes.html) · [Markdown](future-ecosystem-notes.md?source=1)
- **Provenance** — authorship, prior-art, and intellectual-property notes. [Readable view](provenance.html) · [Markdown](../PROVENANCE.md?source=1)
- **Changelog** — versioned learning checkpoints and current unreleased changes. [Markdown](../CHANGELOG.md?source=1)
- **Release notes** — durable framework-and-site checkpoints. [Markdown](releases/README.md?source=1)

## For Agents

- [Current agent handoff](../agent-handoff.md?source=1)
- [Machine-oriented artifact map](../llms.txt)

Agents should fetch the Markdown source needed for the task, keep known facts,
assumptions, and open questions separate, and use each artifact's maturity
status. Current means recommended today, not permanently correct; Labs are
invitations to test, not required instructions.
